We are looking for people who are interested in funding an alternative living- and working community. We have a finca and would like to offer an opportunity to enlife and design this it with us. The property is located in Collado between San Juan del Sur (ca. 20 km) and Playa el Coco (8 km), one of the most beautiful beaches of Nicaragua)

Property details:

• ca. 16 ha
• Wasserversorgung in Trinkwasserqualität durch eigenen Brunnen
• Already cultivated with fruit trees (mango, citrusfruits, dragonfruit, plantain)
• Further fruit trees in smaler quantity (e.g. avocado, nispero, starfruit)
• Natural forest
• Internet access
• Electricity

There are various possibilities to design this beautiful place. So far we use a part of the open landscape to produce our own food (alternative farming methods). Furthermore, some fruits are sold to restaurants in the area. The tourism in San Juan del Sur and Playa el Coco offers further possibilities for various projects. I studied in Witzenhausen and would like to fund a training center for sustainable and autarc living to teach and advise interested people on how they produce their own food, furniture, washing sodas, etc.). Yet, to get this idea working more skilled people are necessary who would be willing to share their knowledge with interested people. Another nice idea to enhance the property and the cultural offset here would be the creation of a garden for medicinal and kitchen herbs.

We are looking for people who are enjoying life like we do. A concept for the community life is not yet fully developed but will be designed according to the resonance of this advertisement. Hence, suggestions from future stakeholders are appreciated and welcome. However, we are only looking for people who are interested in living here. Hence, only stakeholder living here at least 6 month a year should contact us (we don´t sell vacational homes). The property may host 19 stakeholders (with the possibility to buy further land). Yet, to start the project at least 12 steakholders are needed. A share equals 5000 €. Additionally, you have to build your house (a small Bungalow may be build for 3000 €). It would be nice if you are interested in a sustainable livestyle, however, at the end you decide if you´d like to live in a tent, a tree house or a mansion. You may live here alone or with your family (we then may discuss the possibility to fund a free school/kindergarden). At the moment there is only our bungalow and two sheds on the property so there is plenty of space for design and creation. Of course we may help you with planning and creating your home.

Personally we think that Nicaragua is a nice place to live even though they do not offer a great variety of food for vegetarians. It is said to be the safest country of Central America. Non Residents receive a visa which has to be renewed every 90 days at the border point to Costa Rica (approx. 60 km). For a residency a montly income is necessary. Yet, assuming the sucess of the project this should be no problem.

We are looking forward to get to know interested people who would like to start this interesting new project with us. Please as you contact us write a little bit about yourself. Of course we will introduce us as well.

Hi Tika. How is the project coming along? What would the price be in U.S. currency? Please call or e-mail me at fvedder9@gmail.com or 313-570-8699. I am looking to escape another harsh winter somewhere warm and inviting and possibly staying there to help with accomplishing your goal and buying in. thanks, Freddie Vedder

Time is mother nature's way of keeping everything from happening at once. And this is a tiny ad:
