Hello permie group!
I'm not all-out permaculture, but I did build my county's first third-party certified green home way back in 2008.
Now, I build branch railings using the wood from the mountain laurel tree.

Any ways...

Thank you for sharing the resource for deck railing designs and ideas! It's always helpful to have a variety of options to consider when planning a project like this. Branch railings made from mountain laurel wood sound like a unique and natural choice that can add character and beauty to any deck. I'm sure members of this community will appreciate the inspiration and creativity provided by the guide. If anyone has any questions or feedback about the designs, feel free to share them here!

I haven't seen railings made from mountain laurel.

The railing I see are usually cedar which makes for colorful railings.

What are some other woods that make good railings?
