Join us at the Naylor homestead in creating explosive abundance with a weekend permablitz! We'll create a marketplace garden with berms and swales on contour and integrate goats and chickens as working animals into our design. Come join the fun!

• Come for as little or as long as long as you'd like for the event.

* The Permablitz will be 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Watch for updates in the case of severe weather (but we are pretty tough!)

• Lunch will be provided on both days.

• Bring a tent if you want to do some overnight camping on Saturday.

• Please bring a water bottle, gloves, shovels, rakes, hoes, pick axes, wheel barrows, etc. if you have them!

* Thank you for leaving your pets at home. *

Get more information on preparing for a permablitz at the Austin Permaculture Guild website

or see the reports of some past Permablitzes in Central Texas at EarthRepairCorps.org

You can also RSVP for the event on:

* Facebook Permablitz Event

* the Austin Permaculture Guild Meetup

Here's well wishing an awesome event. It sounds like a great weekend project. Have you participated in many others?
.
I wonder if similar programs are going on nationwide? Seasonal for sure.

Thanks, Mike. Are you in our area? If so, hope to meet you at the Permablitz.

I have participated in other permablitzes. They have been going on regularly in Central Texas since early 2013, (before I was even aware of them) put on by various Permie-minded folks. You can see a list of past 2013-2015 permablitzes on the Austin Permaculture Guild site on the Permablitz tab. You can also see reports on some of the permablitzes after they were completed on EarthRepairCorps.org (This is a newer site, so it is still adding information). The Permablitzes are catching on. There is also a relatively newly formed group named Permablitz ATX that also is doing permablitzes regularly. They even held one in the summer heat of July!

Another great area for Texas permie news and discussions is the Texas Permaculture Design Projects Facebook group.

In a nutshell, if you are interested in attending a permablitz in Central Texas, you have lots of opportunities!

I would bet there are other permalitz "programs" like this going on around the nation. A google search might find some in an area of interest, or maybe the Permaculture Global Network may have some listed.
