Hiya Guys, Black Wolf signing in for the first time, thanks for allowing me to join in and hopefully learn a little share a little hey:-)

I am interested in purchasing a piece of Herb Software, a Database in reality to store my medicines, and access some form of existing knowledge base of plants, symptoms, ailments, common names, photos and *** With the ability to directly import my own medicinal recipes, photos and data. If anyone already uses software they love and can recommend it I would love to hear about the software please?

Cheers All

Black Wolf.

Hi there,

I don't know exactly what you have in mind for your herbs, but a few years ago, my husband developed this free software called My Plants. You can have a look at it at http://www.toolsforafuture.net/. It might not be what you are looking for but have a look anyway.

Hiya Olga, you have a talented husband, wish I had 1% of his knowledge:-) I looked at the site and its great but alas does not meet what I need for this ongoing project. There is a company in Saskatchewan called Zentrum Productions who seems to have exactly what I am looking for when you do a web search but I have emailed, and called and no one responding so not sure I want to trust they will support software if I buy through there web portal;-) There are pieces of software for Traditional Chines medicine but that's not the herbs I need or plants. I am stunned that there is such a lack of Herbal software out there, anyway thanks for the link and info, much appreciated

You are most welcome, sorry it didn't fit the bill. I hope you find something soon.

Hello Olga,
Is your husband's program still available for download anywhere? I tried the website, but it looks like it's down. I had downloaded it several years ago and it was perfect for me, but then my computer died and
I didn't have one for a long time. I'm am finally in a position where I would love to have the program again (we now own a 90-acre homesteading farm in Maine) and was sad to see it gone.
As the poster above said, your husband is very talented. I loved the program and would love to be able to use it again.

Regards,
Jennifer

Ohhh, that is such a shame! I truly loved the program. I would be very willing to pay for a copy of it yet. You are welcome to email me at midnite.moon@aol.com to see if there is a way I could still purchase a copy on a disk or download.

Edit to add: there might be more interest now that it seems everyone is growing gardens again this year.
