This question might have been answered elsewhere and I just can't find it: Do rocket mass heaters make a lot of noise? I am trying to persuade my beloved to consider one for our new house, but he says that with a name like that, they must be terribly loud. And I honestly don't know. Thanks for your help!

they do growl as the flames burn and the air rushes past them. mine kinda sounds like a blowtorch. you can click my link at the bottom and check some of my videos to hear the sound. I am sure it depends on the type of system you build. even a fire place makes noise. if you had an oil or propane forced air furnace would make noise. 6 or half dozen with the other take your pick everything makes a little noise.

my wife and i love the sound of our stove and she loves it when i start one at night before bed so we can listen to it while we fall asleep. it seems relaxing to us.
