What are good plants to put in with orchard trees here in the wet Pacific Northwest?

things that draw in beneficial insects like herbs and wildflowers, yarrow, parsley, etc.
nitrogen fixers like beans, peas, clovers, lupines, etc.
nutrient seekers like comfrey, rhubarb, other deep rooted large leaf plants..chop and drops for mulch.

Thank-you- It looks as if the things I've already got there, are appropriate. Comfrey, Jerusalem Artichoke, Applemint, Pennyroyal, vervain, Takinogawa Burdock, motherwort, mugwort, sage, Jostaberry, gooseberry, red currant, angelica, agrimony. I hadn't thought of adding annuals, such as beans.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was a tiny ad.
