First time in 50 years, I have an ear infection. I went to the nurse, and she gave me zithromax, which is the only thing I can take because I'm allergic to most everything else. 48 hours, still all clogged up. I'm making some garlic/olive oil infusion. It's steeping in my warm oven right now. I also ate some raw garlic. Not sure what else I can do. Any ideas? I don't really have much pain, but my ears are full and I can't hear well. Plus, I feel really crappy and my sinuses hurt. Oh, and I've been doing the neti pot thing.

Echinacea to boost your immune system. Lots of hot tea and soup, for the same reason as the neti pot. The more fresh herbs you use in the soup, the better.

Just holding a hot damp cloth over the affected side. I don't know a lot about herbal medicine, but we had a lot of ear aches in my family. That covered most of the bases. We did the garlic thing, too.

I also suffered ear infection for a week now. I'll be trying hot tea and soup just like you suggested and see if it works on me. Thank you so much on this advice!

getting adjusted by chiropractor is my first go to anytime something is wrong. I am all about natural remedies but it seems if I am out of whack a lot of the remedies I try do no good. Broth should definitely help.
