Our 10-acres in Holt, Missouri, is for sale. It has a good deal of the initial phase of the food forest design installed. The pasture has been laying fallow -- this will be the third summer. It's producing well to support livestock you may want to add to your homestead and the earthworm count has dramatically increased. There are apple trees, grape vines, gobs of comfrey, lots of mulberry, three large swales with two planted with dozens of fruit and nut trees on them along with supporting nitrogen fixers and more comfrey. There is also the start of an additional polyculture orchard with several dozen fruit trees. The swales are harvesting water very nicely. Next door neighbors on either side of the property are very friendly and helpful. The property sits just off the Holt exit on I-35 so it's just minutes to Kearney, Liberty or Kansas City. Though the Google Earth images shows a hightunnel on the property, that will be relocated to our homestead. I have a complete permaculture design document describing the property in detail. I can email that to anyone who is interested. There is municipal water and electric and gas at the paved street to the east. It lays very nicely for someone wanting to build a homestead. Going to leave this listing only with the permie folks for about another 2-3 weeks before I officially list this via normal real estate outlets and put the for sale sign out on the property. I'd really like a homesteader, permie or similar to buy this property and not just someone who wants an acreage to build a house ... but, I'll sell it to one of them, too.

I'm pleased to report this land is under contract and we close on Thursday Nov. 3. The new owners are building their house right away so I've got work to do to remove a bunch of things.
