This is an interesting and informative article I found in BackHome
Magazine the September/October 2010 issue.
The article shows how to make a platform out of secured railroad ties (five or six) to some long 4X4's. Between the railroad ties place tie down straps with clamps. Next place your skinny
wood (saplings, wood scraps, etc) across the railroad ties. Next, cinch up the straps and use your chain saw. Instantly you have nice little bundles of
firewood cinched up in individual packets!
