I am a hopeless romantic, progressive, hard core environmentalist, who wants to live off the land, and have a small family. As for my future goals....I plan to get my degrees, find a good portion of land, the man of my dreams and do some homesteading. This includes possibly, a straw bale/cob home and alternative sources of power/off grid. I just want to see how self sustainable I can be off the land.

Some of my hobbies and passions include: wilderness survival, camping, fishing, outdoors, wildlife, ecology, conservation, alternative energy, SUSTAINABILITY, PERMACULTURE, HOMESTEADING, skiing (snow and water), sports (especially: volleyball, and soccer), art(painting, sculpture, photography), crafts, horseback riding, karaoke, dancing, movies, carpentry, swimming, ice-skating, and so much more:)

You sound like quite the catch. I've got a couple questions for you.

What subject do you desire to earn a degree in?

In what region would you prefer to settle?

Hello Back-to-the-Lander,

Your passions sound intriguing, and a very good fit for the lifestyle I am creating for myself. I would love to learn more about you. But you never did answer the previous poster, who asked for the one key bit of information missing: where are you located? Or, if you're in transit, where would you like to end up? I am establishing my own homestead in up-state South Carolina.

Let us know. And good luck to you!

~ Matthew N., southern transplant
