Experience with electric fencing for rabbits

Hey guys,

Is there anyone here with experience with keeping rabbits all year round in a pen made of electric net fencing? Especially when it is dry or snowy? Im thinking about something like the picture, but then 1.12 meter high. Thnx for the input:)

I have bred rabbits for many years and that system looks like it is destine for failure. It is already looking for a way out! rabbits dig, which is why most rabbit fencing is usually dug into the ground at least 2ft deep. If for some reason you find a rabbit that does not dig my betting would be it will probably end up tangle itself in the fence and slowly frying itself to death.  If this system does work please let everyone know about your experiences...........

Sorry, I did not mean to sound negative or misuse the word tangle. After much experimentation I finally settled on a movable tractor system for my rabbits which allows them access to the grass, security and can be moved whenever necessary. I have endeavored to upload an image so hopefully it will be displayed.

We bought some pos/neg fencing and had a colony-style set up in it last year spanning across parts of winter through to late summer. We used 4 ft tall fence and leaned the fence in so that digging around the perimeter would be discouraged by the proximity of the hot wires to the ears of any diggers. It wasn't 100%, especially with very young rabbits who were small enough to fit through the netting, but the social structure tended to keep the rabbits in and there was plenty of room for the rabbit hierarchy to play out in. We had two 80 ft lengths of netting and the Premier 1 100(?) solar energizer. The rabbits didn't prefer our provided housing and made several burrows, so they ended up staying in one place longer than I would have liked, but this could be overcome with experimentation (see the Coney Garth, Julie Engel's movable pastured rabbit set up). The main issue that was worrisome about the electric fencing was during wet and cold weather when we had ice accumulation on the fence; we didn't lose any to predators, but it basically left the colony unprotected due to grounding out and the fence falling over from the weight. We might revisit this one day, but our situation is different now and we no longer raise rabbits.
