2016 innovators event cancelled

In january I decided that I would not announce the innovators event until the dvds came out.  The dvds are at the printer and should be in people's hands by the end of september.   We wanted to have the innovators event the first week or two of october.  Clearly there would not be enough time to sell tickets.  And part of the innovators event is to feed the innovators and pay for materials for their innovations.  A few need to have their travel subsidized.  I don't have enough coin in the coffers, nor do I have enough time to sell tickets.  

So it is a bummer that we will be taking 2016 off.  

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this, but I think you're making the right decision.  When you do a thing like that, you wanna do it right!

I think that when we have the event, innovation takes a strong leap forward.   The innovators do some innovations through the year, but they've all said that they do a lot more while they are here.  And they swap oodles of ideas.  I suspect that one even here might be equal to three years without the event.

So I feel like this is a powerful setback.

Damn.

But I cannot think of a way to pull it off.
