Permaculture...I am an avid student and constantly striving to learn more! We are a couple in our 50's...empty nesters that our children live out of state. We are stable with little debt and looking to help in return for some help.

Hubby is an owner/operator leased to the same company for 30 years...I am to the point I can work from home.

What we have to start with...one acre in a residential neighborhood close enough to walk to Lake Allatoona, very eclectic neighborhood...condemned single wides next door to multi-million dollar gated homes. We have a 30 year old double wide with 2 empty bedrooms...it needs work...roof being replaced as we speak, but very livable. On this acre I have 15 chickens, 5 ducks and 20+ rabbits. A couple hugelkultur beds and several raised beds. I also have 3 dogs and sometimes more cats than can be counted...4 of which actually live here. My husband is a hoarder...but a gifted one...I have access to almost unlimited pallets and wood shipping boxes. We also have 7 1/2 acres about 20 minutes away in the same county...there is electricity but that is all. Equipment...we have semi trucks, box trucks, a back hoe, a front end loader, several tractors and some equipment for those...the list is pretty endless. We have a pretty good starting foundation.

What I would like to see...this acre up and producing enough food to feed ourselves and generate an income. The 7.5 acres also being productive.

I am a bookkeeper by trade and have been incorporated in the state of GA since 1998. I am a 50 year old tall skinny white woman from the south. I am a Christian and not afraid to share my beliefs but will not shove them down your throat. I try to walk my talk and expect the same from you. Hubby is from KY and he is truly a "good ol boy"!

I need physical labor help...in exchange for room. I build fences and chicken coops and do all kinds of dirty, sweaty work. My 10 year old grandson helped me this summer...we accomplished a lot!
