I was planning growing black locust as coppice under chestnut (either C. sativa or sativa x japonica) standards.  There has been questions posed about allelopathy of Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia).  Anyone seen these two grow in each others shadow with vigor?

shoot.  I've got a lot of black locust and a lot of chestnuts, but they're rather far removed from each other.  my instinct is that the black locust allelopathy is a bit overblown, but I can't give you firsthand experience for that combination.
