Hey All,
Got a question about log hive inner diameters. I've been wanting to build a Warré and might have a line on some free logs. My general idea is to keep dimensions and basic structure the same as a Warré, but with the obvious change of it being round inside.
I'm thinking that if I stick with Warré dimensions then I
should have an 11 13/16" dia. interior, yes? Does anyone on here have
experience with smaller diameters? Maybe down in the 10" to 9" range? If so, how do they hold up through winter? (I'm in coastal CT, but may move to central MA soon).
I ask because these free logs aren't super thick and an 11 13/16" dia. interior isn't possible. Just trying to see if these are a good fit or if I should move on and do it properly.
Thanks!
Adam
