ive been reading up and self educating myself with an old process of Electrolysis, which can produce flammable/explosive hydr-oxy gas fuel, which is simply hydrogen and oxygen, the building blocks of water.
im still experimenting with upcycling recycled materials and i have not made an enclosed cell yet to measure the output, but im just curious if anyone on here is familliar with this old science, and peoples opinons. i hear negative and positive opinions all the time when i come on permies and im open to any opinion or info you folks may have.
here is my hybrid hho cell , what do you think? i think i might need less gap between the tubes and maybe neutrals between?

So i should note that i apparently had poor connection to my power cables where they connect to my hybrid joe-cell hydrogen HHO generator in the first 3 parts to this video series, but you can see much better results in "part 4"
Much like my compact RMH, it seems to get better every episode/ every time i experiment with it. ive always insisted that hands-on is best to learn, and you dont fail this way, you either succeed or learn.

im simply curious about making fuel from water. ive seen people make a small soldering torch with hho gas, ive seen Stanley Meyers run a vehicle soley on hho gas, ive seen simple hho/gasoline hybrid systems which seem to help with vehicle emissions and a more complete combustion. my "intended use" is currently nothing more than a show-and-tell science experiment, in the "alternative energy" category. other than that, i have no other "intended use" at this time.
perhaps later i can experiment with making-use of the on-demand HHO gas, but for now i will simply experiment with making the gas via electrolysis, and perhaps capturing it better, making a flashback arrestor.
If you're going to put it on a vehicle, make certain you use very good flash back preventers (one way valve or valves) AND a provision to make certain you only make HHO when the engine is actually running. There have been some examples of people blowing up their plastic intake manifold because they started producing hydrogen (and it accumulated) before the engine was actually running. Boom, no manifold.
yeah ive heard one guys testimonial about turning it off when the engine is not running, he said his intake had a huge backfire also. i understand it takes energy to make hho gas, but a vehicles existing battery and alternator supply all the current you need for a small hybrid system, i would presume. similar draw as an upgraded amplified stereo subwofer, which ive installed many.
i understand the risks and cons, but i also see potential in many "pros". i will be cautious not to blow myself up with water or any of my water-fuel experiments. seems funny how such an abundant thing like water (H2o) can be easily turned into such an explosive thing like brown's gas (HHo)
i dont feel too sorry for anyone who leaves the hho generator running while the engine is not. anyone installing something like that on a vehicle should know better, or shouldnt be working with vehicles, or hho gas for that matter it seems. but i do get some comical relief when people blow thier intakes off lol. but it seems that would only be possible under backfire condtions.
next i might just capture gas into a soapy water flashback arrestor/bubbler and try to safely/experimentally ignite some soapy bubbles perhaps
