Although it does not mention permaculture specifically, I found this website to be a fascinating read and am sure it will be of equal interest to other permies.

I especially enjoyed the sections on water mills, human powered cranes and airships.

Anyway, this site gets my vote as most interesting website of the year.  I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I have.
