Community Rebuilds here --we are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build energy efficient housing, provide education on sustainability, and improve the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program. As a licensed general contractor in Utah and Colorado, Community Rebuilds constructs affordable and energy efficient straw bale homes, working with and training a dedicated group of student intern volunteers on each home project. These students are young emerging professionals with the desire to participate in an experiential program as they learn how to build low carbon, modern natural buildings.

We are currently coming into the last few months of our build in Mount Crested Butte, CO and are offering additional intern spots to help finish this 3-story, straw bale duplex before winter sets in. The projected end date is December 16th and will consist of mostly plastering and finish details. Housing, food stipend and transportation to and from the job site are provided as compensation in addition to the education.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Claire -- coordinator@communityrebuilds.org.

Find current photos of the build and team attached.
