I met a guy who has about a million tires and he is offering to sell me the tires pre-sorted and delivered for 5 bucks per tire. Is this going to add up to be outrageous; or would the time and money saved over trying to find the materials on my own (Tricky here in Utah. Everyone is very protective of their tires) be worth the cost?

$5 each seems high to me for scrap tires, BUT the presorted & delivered aspect brings it back to 'reasonable'.

You might want to check out the 'free' section of your local Craigs List.
Around here, it seems that every day somebody has a listing for free tires.

that is not even close to being worth it. go harvest the tires yourself.

Check out some of your local tire stores.
Usually, they have to pay somebody to come pick up their scrap tires.
If you do it free, that is a win/win for everybody.

All that thinking. Doesn't it hurt? What do you think about this tiny ad?
