Excellent story! Thank you for sharing it. I'm considering learning to knit socks myself but that's only because my feet are really cold right now.  Your post was quite timely in that aspect.

I'm delighted. What a wonderful way for him to share his extra - his extra time, his extra attention - and to use the innovation of his knitting machine to help others and occupy his time in a meaningful way, with company. I think it's genius. It warms my heart.
