Summary

The book starts with a short auto-biography of Mike. It then goes through different topics: buying a woodland, building a forest temporary shelter to work in, the tools that are needed for green woodworking, instructions to build a pole lathe and other devices for green woodworking (shaving horses, benches, cleaving devices, etc.), instructions on how to do steam bending. There is also a section with some wood turning projects to get started and one on how to make a chair.
