I just ran across stuff about the Gobekli Tepe, wow! 13,000 years ago, advanced architecture, way ahead of when the standard narrative I've heard said agriculture and monument-building _began_ to be done (10,000), and saying it was a peaceful empire for hundreds of years. I don't know how factual this source is but it's at least food for thought and questioning assumptions.

permaculture talk, as I recall, a few years ago in Boston. But the article I read made it sound like there's a lot more uncertainty in the field of archeaology than I'd thought.
