Hi! I am wondering if crowding out poison ivy with other strong
perennial local indigenous plants could counteract them coming up and growing in a shady area, even if I don't physically yank them out.
Another idea that came to mind would be to cover the patch with
cardboard and lay a sheet mulch over top of it for at least a year to later transform it into a ''safe'' growing area for other painless companions to grow instead..
Has anyone ever tried any of this and if so, what was your
experience and observations?
