raspberry type plant ID - salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis)

I found this plant growing in two gardens on the Isle of Skye, it may have been more widespread across the island but the gardens were more sheltered so it may have only been coming into flower there.  At first I thought it was just an ordinary raspberry but I've never seen one with flowers like this and I couldn't find a gardener to ask!  I have brought a bit home which appears to have survived, I'm just curious to know what member of the raspberry clan it is?

That looks like a salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis) to me. It's native to the Pacific NW of the US, but I've read that it's escaped cultivation and can be found in the UK.

We have lots of Salmonberry here in Alaska...my backyard is full of it.  I agree that it sure looks like salmon berry to me.  It does really well in cool damp climates so it makes since that it might have been introduced on Isle of Skye.
