I've got a question I need help with. I'm thinking on building the green house with plastic sheeting for the roof and corrugated plastic for the walls and metal pipe frame. Will I need a special type of insurance? Can I insure the building and plants together? Or what is the norm?

There is definately insurance for that.

The greenhouse and infrastructure will be insured as structure while the plants will be insured as inventory or product.

You would probably need to contact an independent insurance agent for a price quote.

The norm around here, is that if I erect a shabby greenhouse and it falls down in a wind, and kills my plants, then I have learned my lesson, and build a stronger greenhouse next time. Nobody but me pays for my mistakes. The idea of getting insurance for that sort of thing would never have crossed my mind.

It's in the permaculture playing cards. Here's the link: http://richsoil.com/cards
