Dear Permies!
We are a young couple from Ethiopia and Germany and want to reconnect to nature on our 5 hectar fertile land (partly covered with endemic forest) on a hill in the green highlands of Northern Ethiopia: the undiscovered Choke Mountains.
We want to build up a Community Center / Ecolodge fully under the principles of sustainability, permaculture, food forest, organic farming, renewable energies enjoying the evenings with like-minded people on our Rocket Mass Heaters:)
If you are a nature lover and can live basic life, we would love to host you as a volunteer starting from October and share experiences!
Interested? Check out our workaway page with lots of information: https://www.workaway.info/938751142611-en.html

Abiy and Valerie.
I've long wondered about the Choke Mtns. I love the highlands. That's great you folks are there doing permaculture. What are you working on 2 months from original post. I grew up in Kenya and was moved to the States. I'll be back there in January. Tell me more about  your project. Thank you.

They weren't very bright, but they were very, very big. Ad contrast:
