Anyone got any ideas / experience constructing a tataki floor with silt soil?

There is a lot of information on it, it just under a different name, Earthcrete.

I have used it, and it works, it is just a weak. Drop something heavy on it and it might dent. But it is cheap to do.

Thanks Travis, although after looking around a bit, thanks to your suggestion, it seems that earthcrete is a bit different from Tataki; Earthcrete uses portland cement to stabilise the earth.

Whereas Tataki consists of three ingredients: Earth (usually sandy, but i'm trying with silt), Lime & Calcium Chloride (or bittern).

Anyway we're knocking it out today and i've got my permie students here in China slaving away, so fingers crossed it works out ok.
