This thread is all about The Territorial Seed Company

Did you know that the average distance any supermarket-bound vegetable or fruit travels to the store is 800 miles? But a gardener's own fruits and vegetables move from the garden to the table within minutes, with every ounce of nutritional value intact.

I give this seed source 9 out of 10 acorns.

I will admit to be a relative novice when it comes to seeds. I've only been growing for 5 years, and am still figuring things out. So, I can't tell you about Territorial's germination rate, as I assume any seeds not sprouting is due to my conditions or me being inept!

Living in the Pacific Northwest, I'm thrilled to find a seed company that grows in my region. I love the variety of seeds they offer--with quite a few varieties I don't see elsewhere. They also offer nearly every variety that I'm interested in, so I can pretty much buy all my seeds from them. This ends up saving me money for two reasons (1) I don't have to pay for shipping from multiple companies just to get the seeds I want, and (2) The more seed companies I order from, the more likely I am to buy more and more seeds that I might not need, but look so interesting!

I also really like how both their online and paper catalogs are laid out. Their online catalog is especially easy to work with on a desk top computer with slow internet speeds. A few other seed companies that I tried to order from had laborious menus to wade through (and load!) just to see less than 10 seeds per page. Not so with Territorial! Their menu is easy to work with, and their seed variety result pages list many varieties per page, and they offer vital information about those seeds on the results page. This means that I don't have to keep opening up new tabs just to find out how many "days to maturity" a carrot variety has.

Their prices are also reasonable, and their shipping is quick, too, and I've always recieved all the seeds I ordered. I also love that their seeds are non-gmo and large portion are organic.

I give this 9 out of 10 acorns. Territorial is one of our "go to" seed companies. Great variety, never any problems with purchases. Very responsive to their customers, beyond what you'd expect. I caught an early out break of onion maggot on my shallots, lifted and cleaned the viable bulbs and called territorial to order insect weight row cover. After hearing my plight as I placed my order, the kind individual must have put a rush on the order for me, I received it in 2 days enabling me to replant without further loss.

When I reviewed (FB) the problem I was having with True Leaf Seed Company, I used Territorial as the measure for our Provider bean seeds. We were very lucky to have purchased the same seed from both companies. Most of the seed from the other company did not germinate well and appears to be old seed, while our seed from Territorial exceeded expectations. The seed we receive from Territorial is always first rate, I wish I could say the same for True Leaf
