Found a little add for Pro Forest Bar and Chain Oil, which is a nontoxic lubricant made of 80% canola oil. It extends bar, chain, and sprocket life, and most of it biodegrades in 21 days. Can get it at www.husqvarna.com/us

theres also a canola chain oil that has mushroom spores in it, so when you cut the logs, you inoculate them.

Do you know of a source for this? Fungi Perfecti stopped selling it several years ago.

I bet if you took some of that canola-based bar & chain oil, grab some fresh mushrooms from the forest and toss them in the oil for a few hours (or just do a big sporeprint) and shake it, you might just have some inoculum ready to roll.
