Just listened to an interview with Paul in which he mentioned briefly some methods to harvest water. He did not seem to like water barrels but talked about other methods which I did not catch what he was saying. I would like to know what methods there could be used that ( might) be better than the water barrels, etc. Any detailed info on how to make them would be great.

The best place to harvest water is in the soil!

We collect water off our roof and into 2500 gallons tanks, the same sort used to store well water. It's working so far and we can store enough water to last. With a Mediterranean climate we get almost no rain at all for many months in a row so the long term storage is a must.
