Description: As a member of the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute’s (PCEI) education program, you will be actively engaged in PCEI’s mission to increase citizen involvement in decisions that affect our regional environment. Responsibilities include developing and teaching environmental education activities for K-12 students in the classroom and in the field, designing new lesson plans, and organizing after school and summer activities for local youth. PCEI is located on a 12-acre parcel of land on the outskirts of Moscow, Idaho, a community-minded university town surrounded by recreational opportunities. Position starts September 1, 2011 and ends July 31, 2012. Living stipend approximately $1,100 month (before taxes) and $5,500 education award upon completion.
