I can recommend Daniel Mack's books
Making Rustic Furniture: The Tradition, Spirit, and Technique
Rustic Garden Furniture and Acessories
He has other books too.
The first one is by far the one I use the most - read it over and over.
making the Rustic furniture is really easy - start with something simple and progress from there.
I always measure existing chairs to get basic dimensions and dryy assemble keeping the pieces together with bungees from old inner tubes.
I dont have a designers eye  so adjust the lengths until they "look good" before final glue, dowels, pins or screws...
Its an addictive pastime - be warned !
Aaaaaand ... we're on the march. Stylin. Get with it tiny ad.
