could hong kong orchid be used as mulch?

Hi i was wondering since i have so much honk kong orchid here in puerto rico  and being from the pea or legume family, if the leaf could be used as nitroge  fixing mulch. Can't find any info on this. Thanks

Well, some plants in Bauhinia  seem to only grow from cuttinhs, others from seed.
Evidence of them fix nitrogen seems to be mixed.
As long the parts you use as mulch are not viable,they should be fine, and not compete with your plantings.
