This morning I was trying to gather some facts about portulaca (pursley) on Wiki, and one of the various paragraphs was about companion planting and how good pursley is for ground cover and keeping the soil surface moist, etc.
As you know wiki is made by common people, so every entry is somewhat different. I could very well just have found botanical info about pursley and that's it, but some people eat it, so they wrote about it and in what dishes, etc.

I thought it would be awesome if anyone of you experts could enter permaculture-related info about any plant or structure as you come across them on Wiki.
People would just look up a plant and before they know they would know what it makes a guild with, or what function it has for wind-breaking, accumulating minerals for other plants, etc, and this way people would start thinking along those lines as if it was a very natural thing.

Just my two bits.

Sure, that one. Mind to share recipes and pictures?
We just found out from a local that this weed is edible. Without knowing, I just bought some seeds of "mixed portulaca". The flowers look great. However, the flowers in the wiki article look nothing spectacular, so I wonder if the seeds in my packet belong to a variety that's mostly ornamental, and I should just stick to the one growing around here for salads and stir fries.

Yes, the flower portulaca is not the same species as the edible weed portulaca.  The flower portulaca is considered less edible than the other.
