Just a poser for the forum.

Has anyone seen or heard of someone using these Gabion Baskets as wall for a green home. The stone would make good thermal mass and the out sides and insides could be coated with stucco for a nicer look.

Just a thought....

Couple of posts on gabion basket, use the search feature to locate them.  I think it would make a great house,

Maybe the walls could be formed using Gabion and then coat the outside with a structural parging like they use for stacked concrete block structures. This should stabilize the walls while cutting down on air infiltration.

I too have been looking into this for a possible weekender home out in East Texas. Also, been looking into the following:

These folks supposedly have a papercrete style product that could be used for building.
