The video that paul wheaton put up recently about the wood-fired pizza oven at hawthorn farm really inspired me, and I want to make one!  we have some of those 55 gallon metal barrels as well as LOTS of clay.  I would love to know if anybody has experience making an oven similar to this, and I would also love to hear from alexia allen (the woman in the video) about the steps in building it.  is there air space in between the metal barrel and the clay bricks, or is the wire cage placed right against the barrel?
