I wish there was a singles group for permie/farmer foodies who love old country music but play jazz! I know it sounds picky, but as one whose identity is very much being a chef, farmer and musician, I can't tell you how disheartening it is to hear, "I don't eat weird food... that (not having tasted it) is gross! I hate country music.. I hate jazz.... why don't you have a real job?, etc" When you've spent 25 years studying and practicing your music it is part of you. When your passion is to cook and eat new (to you) interesting food... and, when you love the land and being self employed.... common sentiments like that aren't just a matter of taste.... they are a rejection of who you are.
"Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him... he ain't wrong, he's just different and his pride won't let him do the things that make you think he's right"
