Missoula City Council tomorrow on sale of Mountain Water to Carlyle Group

Council is holding a special hearing tomorrow,
(Wednesday, August 10th) at 1:00 PM regarding the pending sale of Mountain
to the CARLYLE GROUP.
Nothing is certain at this point. The City of Missoula still has no option
to purchase the water utility from Park Water.
The mayor supports public ownership. That's a good start, but it's not
The Missoula City Council needs guidance from Missoula citizens.
Please attend this meeting and let your City Council hear your concerns.
To protect Missoula from potential water utility rate hikes, bottling
plants, and international investment interests, City Council
OPPOSE THE SALE OF MOUNTAIN WATER TO THE CARLYLE GROUP UNLESS THE CARLYLE
GROUP COMMITS, in writing, to
MISSOULA'S WATER UTILITY TO THE CITY OF
MISSOULA AT A
and BY A CERTAIN DEADLINE.
