The Missoula City Council is holding a special hearing tomorrow,
(Wednesday, August 10th) at 1:00 PM regarding the pending sale of Mountain
Water to the CARLYLE GROUP.

Nothing is certain at this point. The City of Missoula still has no option
to purchase the water utility from Park Water.
The mayor supports public ownership. That's a good start, but it's not
enough.

The Missoula City Council needs guidance from Missoula citizens.

Please attend this meeting and let your City Council hear your concerns.

To protect Missoula from potential water utility rate hikes, bottling
plants, and international investment interests, City Council should:

OPPOSE THE SALE OF MOUNTAIN WATER TO THE CARLYLE GROUP UNLESS THE CARLYLE
GROUP COMMITS, in writing, to SELL MISSOULA'S WATER UTILITY TO THE CITY OF
MISSOULA AT A FAIR PRICE and BY A CERTAIN DEADLINE.

If you cannot attend, please take a moment to express your concerns via
email to: council@ci.missoula.mt.us

Thank you,

Missoula Water Now

We can fix it! We just need some baling wire, some WD-40, a bit of duct tape and this tiny ad:
