Aloha!
   We are a family of two sisters in our late 20s and a sweeeeet four year old boy. We live on the Big Island just north of Hilo. We live in a three bedroom house next to a river with waterfalls!
  We are starting a Micro greens business and plan to expand into more farming in the future. Our sweet four year old needs more friends his age. We are seeking a single mama with a 4-5ish year old to join us in a childcare work trade.
We are screen free, nature base and Waldorf inspired living. (We do have wifi here but limit it around the young one and on very rare occasions he gets to watch a short educational animal youtube video)
We aim to eat as local as possible and always organic. There are some fruit trees on the land. We are renting a house but have a lot of access to the 20 acres with river that we are living on.
It is important to us that the kids are respected and empowered. Its important that they feel heard and honored. We also value hands on educational activities that inspire creativity and learning.
We would love help with childcare and maybe some house cleaning (mostly kitchen help and prompting kids to clean up after themselves)
In exchange of hanging out with our 4 year old ( we will have a clear schedule soon!) But pretty much only needed when mom is working and occasional times when mom is there but needs a break.
We can offer a room in our house and potentially a stipend
Also when possible you can borrow our car to go on adventures
This is something that can grow into a long term win-win
Before inviting you and your child to join us we need to get to know each other

Looking for trustworthy and hardworking individual or couple to help on an offgrid permaculture farm focused on simple living and self reliance.
The work includes watering and food preservation. Also tending plants and animals (small scale/flocks of ducks,goats,sheep,chickens)
Schedule is Monday - Friday 9am-12pm and a half hour in the late afternoon/evenings for food preservation (solar dehydrating,canning,ferments, etc)
Small cabin and  hot showers, and mostly vegetarian food provided on a secluded riverside property with a temperate coastal climate.
Spring water,mature orchard,library,sauna,and limited cell reception.
  Im looking for people who would like to help from Jun-Aug. Also open to more short term help a few days to a week are welcome too.

Looking for trustworthy and hardworking individual or couple to caretake an offgrid permaculture farm focused on permaculture and self reliance along the Van Duzen river. The care taking job is from March 15th until mid May .
This job can then transition into a gardening internship for the duration of the summer and fall.

Caretaker has minimal work responsibilites and is provided a cabin. Also includes some homegrown garden food and staples. $500 stipend paid if animals are well cared for.
This is a good opportunity for an artist, musician, writer, or someone looking to practice simple living or to have time to work on their craft.
Daily chores include caring for a small flock of chickens, ducks, and sheep.
The birds need to be let out first thing early every morning and then closed in every evening. Then tending some plants in a small green house and a little bit of fruit tree pruning is expected as well as some spring weeding.
Caretaker cabin is off grid with some cell reception to Verizon phones. Its woodnheated and wood is provided along with hot shower and sauna nearby cabin.

This property has so much potential! I'm posting it for sale for my mom.
25 acres on Beaver creek - pasture and woods

Mother Earth news reported Ava, Mo as one of the greatest places you've never heard of.
It is a homesteading area in SW missouri in the "Ozark Mountains"
Ava has a locally owned natural food store, yoga studio, organic cafe, and a good farmers market. Its pretty unique for a relatively small town
(It also has a Wal-Mart and other big companies.)

Bakers Creek Heirloom Seeds Farm is nearby. They have festivals and events throughout the summer. My sister worked for them and they pay well for their gardeners, seed stockers, etc.(also get great discount on seeds)
Bakers creek also has a vegan Thai cafe with locally sourced veggies and fruits. The price for food there is donational!
One of my favorite things about this area is the Amish and minonite communities. During the summer there is a Amish fruit and veggie sale every week. Boxes or pallets full of organic produce grown locally by these communities are auctioned off for very cheap! Its kinda an awesome secret in this area
There is also a discount store called shetlers with tons of organic food for insanely cheap! We have our pantry stocked with organic food for less then 1/4 of the full price.
This area offers very affordable living.

Climate- 50" rain per year. Winter is relatively mild.
There's a saying in Missouri "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute."
