I do feel like it is worth the money, if you need a sure thing.  the other ways I've tried, cost more with not good results.  If I were better at growing, I would love a larger set up.  For me, it's hit or miss with my own pods and seeds.  The pods that came with it have been a sure thing.

Not for sprouts, but here is a very successful option for small spaces.  It doesn't take the place of my outside garden, but it tides me over the winter.

I have been unsuccessful with several methods of trying to grow a crop indoors.  This (aerogarden) has been the most successful!  it was a little expensive, but it was a birthday gift:)  So far, I've grown tomatoes, herbs, and lettuce.  I also started some watermelon seedlings for transfer.

My sister is always giving me random stuff, so these are frugal because they were free.  I had to drill a hole in the bottom of the cup for drainage, but this snake plant has been in it for about a year and doing just fine.  The red vase is from an old hookah, and the bamboo also seems to be doing fine.

I was 18 yrs old and not really doing much in NY after graduation, so my mom's friend invited me to go to work/college in Texas.  While at work, a boy came up to me and said that "Cowboy Jim thinks you're pretty."  I went out to the shop later that afternoon to talk to this Jim guy.  While we were talking, I was fidgeting with an air hose.  It broke and started whizzing around!  This guy fixed it in about two seconds!  That was it.  I found my Macgyver!  I immediately went inside and called my boyfriend to break up with him.  Jim and I married a few months later, after he went through basic.  Three kids, Jim's 20 years in the Army, and 26 years of marriage later...
He still thinks I'm pretty

I'm also a bit new to soap making.  The soap on left is rosemary and lilac, made with mostly coconut oil.  I added some rosemary and lilac leaves for exfoliation (I have used crushed walnut shell for a really tough exfoliation).  The soap on the right is made with coconut, olive, grape-seed, sunflower, and avocado oils. Liquid is my fave soap because it has so many uses, and also because I scent it with whatever essential oil I like.  I have only ever used saopcalc for formulas, and so far it has worked well.  I buy oils when I can find them cheap- er.  I watched soap queen videos for my first batches- she is thorough and very safe.  Happy soaping!
