Too Long; Here is a Summary:

Essentially, my journey has been an ERE mindset "follower", who is an environmentalist and advocate for biodiversity, to me getting a wake-up call from IPCC 2018, me building off my previous mindset and knowledge, and eventually becoming a permaculturist. I could go into detail about my journeys in the Baltics during my master's, learning how in even suburbia a modernized peasant lifestyle exists there, and me reconnecting to my father's side of the family being the American equivalent of peasant farmers. However, I really don't like typing long posts and prefer to get to the point for everyone's sake.

Agh. That sucks in that case because I was hoping for the best. Hopefully I can move out West to try them myself.

Hey Tyler, I am wondering how is your experiment going? I live in Texas as well and I want to start cultivating Texas persimmons for local cultivars, hopefully in the Llano Estacado region if I get the job I applied for.

Yeah, my mother is from Cebu Island and whenever we visited we street from the local Julies or street food vendor. Whenever we visited the city, we really did not eat that much from the food there except in western food places. And yeah whenever there is Filipino gathering, lechon pig is usually mandatory.

As a Filipino-American, this entire thread is really awesome for me to read through. Keep up the good work, Dale!
