Hi lovely mid westerners. My name is Rose and due to a job I've taken I must relocate to Chicago. Can anyone recommend how I can still be involved in permaculture or urban gardening in the area?
I won't have any property where I'm going I have to rent a room but if there's any organization you can recommend I am all ears. I have never even visited Chicago!   Any beautiful places nearby that you can recommend I would love to hear!
Thank you

This is a long shot but I've got to move to Vero Beach or somewhere close by due to a new job. As a permaculture fan girl I'm on the lookout for anyone who has a community or wants a roommate to live the  permaculture lifestyle with! I have my PDC and volunteered on some permaculture homesteads in Scotland but that tallies all of my experience thus far. I'm 34 years young, no kids, no pets.

Any permacultue people in the Melbourne/Ormond Beach or space coast area?
I'm thinking of moving slightly north from Martin County and it would be nice to connect with the like minded!

Hi everyone!

I desire to live closer to the land again.

I did it for many years mostly off grid in the FL keys, but also in the panhandle, northern New Mexico, and north California.

After my partner and I split up about 5 years ago I joined the world, so now I have great credit! 😆

But I also feel very disconnected and too wrapped up in the concrete jungle. I am at a transition time.

I am finishing up a PDC course this month and would love to continue my education. I have no hands on experience yet!

Community and friends, a social life are very important. I'd love to find my tribe. But of course I'm posting here because maybe there's a partner that wants to do life harmoniously with me.

I'm shy, it takes me a while to open up. If we don't laugh together it ain't gonna work homes! Sense of humor, morals and values must align. Honor is very important to me.

I've been single a little over a year and I've learned to really enjoy my own company. I'd prefer someone who doesn't jump from one to the next and has had a period of solitude.

Doesn't hurt to put myself out there a little bit, and this site seems friendly enough. I just can't bring myself to join a dating app.

I dont have social media either.

I am 33 years old, no children. I work in the hospitality industry and I'm good at it so if you don't tip your  waitress buzz off! 😶
I am a born and raised Floridian.

I love wilderness camping, backpacking, traveling, ballet, classical music, poetry, shakespeare, baking, cooking, spontaneous adventure, I was a very good free diver for many years,

Locations where my heart feels strangely home: smoky mountains of Tennessee, Powell river BC, Taos, NM, and key Biscayne/everglades, FL.

I'm on the petite side. 5'3" blue eyes, reddish hair.
My Ancestry is scottish, Irish, nw European, Scandinavian, and Jewish.

I will send a photo.

Thanks!

I'm a humble, simple gal. Genuine, true, and of course a hot damn mess at the same time. We all are right?! 😆

Throwing a line out here.

I'm just getting into the permaculture world. Currently taking PDC with Grow Permaculture. Highly recommend!

Anybody in or near Martin County?!
Stuart, jensen beach, or palm city?!
Want to collaborate on creating a community garden?

Currently watching documentary on South Central Farm in LA. Very motivating.

Hello!

I'm in the midst of wanting to change jobs.
I have been in the hospitality industry my whole life and cleaning vacation rentals/houses.
I'm feeling a bit burned out.  I like working with people, my customers are pretty great and I enjoy fine dining work but I don't like only making $45,000 a year.

Its just not enough. Working full time but not really able to afford much of anything. I have great credit though!

I'm 33 years old. I don't know what to do. I'd go back to school if it's worth it. I want to be more successful ND independent but more importantly I want to feel good about what I do. Environmentally aware and conscious is my goal.

I am so lost.

How did y'all "figure it out"?!
