We began our homestead in 2014, bought raw land and have created a nice place with lots of sweat and tears. We will never live anywhere else again and love life in the country. We raise rabbits, chickens, turkeys, dairy goats, pigs and LGDs. I have multiple gardens, (I am a certified master gardener) we are trying to grow our own fodder for the critters. We build all the things ourselves, rarely higher help, and research how to do things we may not know. We are a couple of resourceful, determined older folks... Our kids think we are a bit nuts, but that has not slowed us down. We do not do any social media, and limit our online presence... so this is out of the box for us. But wanted to see if there were any others around our area.
