Biography
I'm a full time farmer, I've been homesteading and farming for 15 years now. I raise acres of produce as well as cattle, meat chickens and hogs. I have a farm-store connected to my farm which keeps me really busy. My interest are vast. I really love fly fishing, live music and all nature has to offer. I'm looking for a partner in this organized chaos we call farm life.

Hello . I'm a very experienced farmer with extensive produce growing equipment that is all debt free plus some heavy equipment as well that is also paid off. I do very well here where I'm at in TN but I'm open to other possibilities and new relationships, if you have land or want to partner on something and want to build it I can do it. I'm open to different situations.  My calling is to grow food so thats what I do I'd love to connect with someone who was on the same page. I really love my cows and have Berkshire hogs as well. Im not broke not desperate I'm just open to see what's out there and hear some ideas. I already have a big field planted this year so I have to at least see out the summer or most of it.

Amy Gardener wrote:I am curious from experts like Joseph, how does one best harvest a pound of goji berries?
My plants are producing and spreading very well in low water, alkaline soil conditions. The problem is that picking a pound of these tiny delicate berries (or clipping and sorting) would take me at least an hour.  Maybe there is a faster way to harvest than picking the fruits by hand?
If I were creating a business, I would research how fast one could pick a pound of goji berries and factor that cost into the business plan for this labor intensive crop.

They don't taste good either.

So hello. I'm a really busy full time farmer in Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau with a good local following. I have a farm-store in conjunction with my farming operation and do a couple of local markets. I raise a couple of acres of produce as well as beef cattle, meat chickens and heritage breed hogs. I'm extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this lifestyle. I've been full timing it since 2010. If you are ready to hit the ground running let's get to talking and see if it would be a good fit for us. Looking forward to hearing from you !
