This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Metal Working.

Solar ovens are awesome ways to cook food with nuclear power.  There are lots of ways to make them yourself so this BB is a bit vague to cover any number of ways.  So be creative and get er done!

Here is one way to do it:

To document your completion of the BB, provide the photos or video (<2 min) of the following:
 - The supplies you're starting with
 - Partway through the build
 - The finished reflectors

Clarifications:
  - The reflectors need to be made of metal since this is the metalworking badge
  - Polishing sheet metal of some sort to a reflective/mirror finish is preferred

The reflector was build out of aluminium flashing, the reflective material is aluminium foil duct tape, I used shears and a box knife. This is the second metal reflector I've made they can be heavy. The first one was rivoted using galvanized sheet steel and buffed to a shine with car polish. This version is lighter and I folded the seams twice with pliers. The outside edge was folded over to make is safe and the inside edge was screwed to the oven frame. Door hinges were used at the top of the frame and a walker modified to make the cooker mobile.
