This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Metal Working.

For this BB, you will be making a high quality gouge!

Here is what one might look like:

Minimum requirements:
  - The gouge needs to be forged from one piece of metal
  - It can have a wood handle (that's a different BB though)
  - It has to be very well made and look like something a professional or trades person might say could be passed on for generations

To document your completion of the BB, provide the photos or video (<2 min) of the following:
 - The supplies you're starting with
 - Partway through the build
 - The finished high quality gouge

For inspiration, here's a pic I found.  They used the outer race of a large bearing for some high-quality steel that is also a good starting shape.
