This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the iron badge in woodland care.

In this Badge Bit, you will plant the seeds to restore a creek bed from a dry gully!

(source: Pinterest.co.uk)

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
o 100 feet wide and 800 feet long
o seeds are planted in diagonal rows, 3 feet apart (each planting row will then be 141 feet long - 47 seeds, 267 rows. 12,500 seeds)
o each row is 3 feet apart
o apple, walnut, oak, peach, chestnut, butternut, rhubarb, alfalfa, hickory, pecan (others?)
o pics of the plot and the row markers when planting
o video of growth verification at a foot tall (or more, average) for each row
     o take out all conifers

To get certified for this BB, provide proof of the following as either pictures or a video (<2 mins):
    o removing conifer trees
o show seeds that will be planted and list them by name
o show seeds being planted in diagonal rows 3 feet apart (each planting row will then be 141 feet long - 47 seeds, 267 rows. 12,500 seeds)
o show the 100 ft wide and 800 feet long plot with row markers while planting
o video of growth verifying trees have grown at least a foot tall in each row
