I give this book 8 out of 10 acorns.

Matt Powers has written a textbook-like book about the subject of permaculture called The Permaculture Student 2. Each chapter flows into the next neatly giving a well rounded easy to read explanation for a variety of subjects. While the book does not necessarily go deep into detail for each and every aspect it discusses; the text covers a wide breadth of possible subjects. I appreciate that the author provides footnotes for his source material allowing the reader to continue their own leaning.

I found there to be a nice balance of text to visuals within the pages of the book. It is easy reading while still being interesting and engaging. It can be a lot to take in at a time so I recommend revisiting sections to really digest the material.
