This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Building.

While building a house may be out of reach at the moment, let's get some practice putting together medium sized structures.  Pole buildings are a great way to enclose a space.  Conventional pole buildings rely on treated posts in the ground.  Let's build one that doesn't need treated wood!

Here's one with burnt posts in the ground:

Here are some piers installed in preparation for building a pole building:

Minimum requirements:
  - Build a pole building
  - No treated wood
  - Built upon:
       - Piers/footings, or
       - Naturally treated wood in the ground (not recommended)
  - Braced to handle wind/snow
  - At least 3 walls
  - At least 300 square feet

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The site before you begin
  - Holes dug
  - Piers installed (if applicable)
  - Pole frame completed
  - Building complete (with measurements if it's not obviously 300 sq ft)
