This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

Now that we're building and fixing all kinds of things, it's nice to have a beefy place to work on.  Let's make a workbench!

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a beefy workbench
  - At least 6' long
  - Top is at least 1.5" thick
  - Plywood is permitted for this BB
  - Can easily support 1000 lbs

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Completed workbench

One blast from the ray gun turned half a town into a guy named ray. Just like this tiny ad:
